Loukia Ameyaw

Human trafficking resource coordinator

Loukia considers providing services for and assisting in the justice processes for survivors of sexual violence as her life’s calling. Before coming to Freedom 4/24, Loukia served in several advocacy positions in Central Virginia. Loukia conducted support groups for assault survivors, connected wounded families to resources, provided crisis intervention services, and educated the public on how to recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual violence. Currently, she is working to increase the public’s knowledge of Human Trafficking and to create effective recovery spaces for Trafficking survivors through her position as Resource Coordinator at Freedom 4/24.

When Loukia is not working, she enjoys weight lifting, dancing, good friends, spending time with her husband, and an informative audiobook.
