October 29th. That will be only 38 days from when this posts. With Frocks for Freedom happening this week and Father Daughter Date Night coming up next week excitement continues to grow for this year! We are also adding new states all the time towards our goal of runners/walkers in all 50 states.
The 50 states goal is outrageous in only the third year of this race, however the Run for Their Lives team believes in the calling, as well as the results! Runners and walkers participating in the event on the 29th from their state is going to be incredible!
The goal specifically is to have someone or group, having registered on the website www.R4TL.com being a party all over the country. In some states that will look like the race like in Lynchburg, VA. In some it will be a smaller event with tens or hundreds, and in some it may be simply 1 or 2 participants in a 5k that they have chosen but all will be crucial in the goal!

We are not asking for an event the size of Lynchburg, we are wanting to take the cause across the nation in a physical way.

My dream is to save women and children from sexual exploitation, abuse, and anything injustice to what Our God declares righteous. My heart is broken over these women selling their dignity and self worth to support their families, thinking they have no other way to survive. They need to hear the Word of what my God has done for them so they may know that they can be saved and redeemed. On August 3rd, 2008 I realized the love God had for me. He healed all my wounds from the past and to come and showed me a better life then before. I hope that these girls will be able to say the same because we helped them get there.
This October 29, I will be hosting a 5K run/walk in the triad area called Run For Their Lives. Run For Their Lives partners with Freedom 4/24 to raise awareness for sexual slavery worldwide but, specifically Southeast Asia, where my family originates. Freedom 4/24 also raises money to support Christ-centered ministries that seek to rescue women enslaved in the sex industry. The 5k race is not a race or competition at all. It’s a chance for us to act against the unfair world we live in that has allowed these statistics to be true:
-It is estimated that two children are sold into slavery every minute.
-There are more than 300,000 prostitutes in Thailand alone.
-Close to $300 million is transferred every year to rural families by women engaged in prostitution in urban areas.
To be apart of Run For Their Lives you can register online at www.r4tl.com . Your $24 goes towards getting a girl off the streets of Thailand for 24 hours. She will be taken to Beginnings, a Freedom 4/24 ministry partner, and safe house in Bangkok. The goal is to show her a way out of the sex industry, through Beginnings, which offers alternative means of survival and opportunities they never could have imagined.
